She is an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist with substantial experience in treating children with Paediatrics and Neurological conditions. She holds PhD in Child Development with research in Sensory Processing Disorders in children. After pursuing Masters in Occupational Therapy, she got her Certification in practising Sensory Integration Therapy from University of Southern California (USA). She is also a Certified Provider of Listening Program and EEG NeuroBioFeedback. Dr Moushami has more than 20 years experience working as a clinician, researcher and in teaching; working for public hospitals and as a private practitioner.
Her focus area has been in treating cases with Sensory Processing difficulties, Autism, Attention deficit and Hyper activity disorder (ADHD), Fine motor difficulties like handwriting etc., Developmental delays and Neurological conditions like Cerebral Palsy, Neurological birth defects etc. and Other conditions of brain and Spine.
She is passionate about pursuing goals for children gaining functional independence in their daily activities who are affected by some of the above conditions. Her experience of assessing and treating children from diverse cultures makes her sensitive in appreciating and understanding the needs and difficulties of children from variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
She is certified member of Occupational Therapy Australia, in committee as reviewer for three International research journals and on International scientific advisory panel for the European Sensory Integration Congress. This helps her to keep abreast with the latest research and development in the field to deliver best services.
